- INTERMEDIATE MODEL ROCKET BUILDING KIT: The Estes Ripley rocket kit allows ages 13+ and rocket-building enthusiasts to construct an impressive 13-inch mini rocket model for exciting STEM-based learning. Each kit includes precision-molded rocket parts, a detailed nose cone, a recovery streamer, decals, and step-by-step instructions. It requires Estes rocket engines, Starters, Recovery Wadding, a launch pad system, and 4 AA alkaline batteries (sold separately) for launch.
- SOARS UP TO 600 FT.: With its bold alien-like design and aerodynamic profile, the Ripley model rocket can reach a projected altitude of up to 600 ft. (183 m) using recommended Estes engines (sold separately), such as the A10-3T, 1/2 A3-2T, A3-4T, and A3-6T model rocket engines. Standing at 13.3", it has a recovery streamer that slowly aids in the rocket’s descent.
- READY TO ASSEMBLE: This intermediate model kit requires about 2 hours of assembly time, offering a rewarding build-and-launch project for young learners. Customize it with the included decals for a sharp finish, then pair it with an Estes Mini Launch Pad and Controller (sold separately) for liftoff.
- SAFETY FIRST, FUN ALWAYS: Our rockets are designed to be used with the NAR (National Association of Rocketry) model-rocket safety code. Always ensure you have an appropriate launch site, stand back at least 15 ft., insert the safety key, issue a countdown, and then you can let your rocket fly!
